I am Joanne Gordon, a writer who works with business leaders and creative thinkers to capture their voices, sharing their experiences and insights with the world.
For more than two decades—as a reporter for Forbes magazine, a columnist, eight-time author/ghostwriter and corporate communications professional—I’ve shaped people’s stories and humanized abstract, often complex topics.
I’m intrigued by leaders behind great organizations; by individuals who succeed despite tremendous odds; and by people whose bold visions and creative processes have lasting impact. When ideas are worth spreading, I consider it a privilege to be part of that journey.
Most recently, I worked with SAP CEO Bill McDermott to write “Winners Dream: A Journey from Corner Store to Corner Office,” (Simon & Schuster, October 2014). The leadership memoir follows Bill’s career trajectory from the small deli he owned as a teenager to his years as a salesman for Xerox to his current role as CEO of the world’s largest business software company. Told in Bill’s voice, “Winners Dream” is laced with insights for building a career as well as a business.
